The Akpesi village is located beside the Oniru Private Beach and mostly made up of homeless people who resorted to building shanties. Most of these people are drivers, maids, etc. During heavy rains, when the ocean surges, a lot of the children drown, and some of the people are left homeless once again. Less than 30percent of the children in the community go to school.
In response to this, V14 a corporate shopping and events company has created an avenue where people can give back to the society without the conventional way of going to an NGO or Orphanage. This is also a form of CSR for corporate bodies.
