Apparently, the Lagos leg of Star
Music Trek 2013 promises to be a blast as superstar entertainers Psquare, M.I, Ice
Prince, Sound Sultan, and KC will open up the 1st phase of the
annual concert in front of thousands of eager fans.
This Saturday’s concert will officially kick off the highly
anticipated yearly music tour.
Thousands of music fans will gather at Jite Open Field, Road 21, Festac, Lagos on June 8, 2013 for a night of blazing music and electrifying
performances.
Other artistes expected to
perform at the event include popular hip-hop artiste, Kas and Crystals, winners
of Star Quest 2012, Nigerian Breweries premier reality show.
“I’m way too excited to say much
right now, but this I can promise: music fans are in for an amazing time with
me and other incredible artistes in Lagos on June 8th at Star Music
Trek 2013.” M.I assures.
“PSquare promises to rock this
concert like never before….fans should come expecting only the best- they won’t
be disappointed, the exciting pop duo’s manager, Jude Okoye assures.”
The 2013 line up of artistes were
revealed in an exclusive press conference which held at Rhapsody’s Lounge, Victoria
Island, Lagos on May 22 2013.
Star Music Trek will still happen in nine
other cities including Aba, Abeokuta, Agege (-Lagos), Asaba, Enugu, Lokoja, Nnewi, Owerri, and
Onikan V.I (Lagos).
Other superstars to perform at this year’s edition of the
pan Nigerian concert include 2face,
D’banj, Timaya, Wande Coal, Obesere, Mr Raw, Dr Sid, JMartins, Naeto C, Tiwa
Savage, Sheyi Shey, Phyno, Olamide, Juke Box, Da Beatz and Crystals.
The compere for the event is
Gbenga Adeyinka, one of Nigeria’s favorite comedians and a compere of repute.
The Star Music Trek tour will run
for 10 weeks, in 10 cities, culminating in a grand finale at Onikan Stadium, in
Lagos on August 10 2013.
