Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has given President Bola Tinubu a seven-day ultimatum to constitute an independent panel to investigate allegations surrounding the Presidential Fiscal and Infrastructure Projects Coordination (PFIPC).

Atiku said an independent investigation is necessary to establish the facts, ensure transparency, and restore public confidence in government institutions. He argued that the probe should be conducted by credible and impartial individuals capable of carrying out a thorough review of the allegations.

According to the former vice president, the government must demonstrate its commitment to accountability by responding promptly to concerns raised about the PFIPC. He warned that failure to initiate an independent investigation within the stipulated period could further erode public trust in governance.

The ultimatum adds a new dimension to the political debate surrounding the alleged scandal, with opposition figures calling for greater scrutiny of public institutions and government operations.

As the seven-day deadline begins, attention is expected to focus on the Federal Government’s response and whether it will establish an independent investigative panel to examine the allegations.

The outcome of the matter is likely to shape public discourse on transparency, accountability, and governance, as stakeholders continue to monitor developments closely.
