Motorists and residents along the Mowe-Ofada Road in Ogun State have appealed to the state government to expedite the completion of the ongoing road construction project, citing the hardship caused by prolonged delays.
According to members of the community, the unfinished road has led to persistent traffic congestion, increased travel time, and difficulties for commuters and business owners who rely on the route daily.
Residents said the poor condition of the road has disrupted commercial activities and made movement within the area increasingly challenging, especially during periods of heavy rainfall. They stressed that the delay in completing the project continues to affect livelihoods and access to essential services.
The community urged the Ogun State Government to accelerate construction work to ease traffic, improve road safety, and enhance connectivity between Mowe, Ofada, and surrounding communities.
They expressed hope that the project would be completed promptly, noting that a modern road network would boost economic activities, facilitate smoother transportation, and improve the overall quality of life for residents and road users.
