Former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has extended his goodwill message to Muslims across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid‑el‑Fitr.

In a statement marking the celebration, Obi congratulated Muslim faithful for successfully completing the fasting period during Ramadan.

Call to Sustain Ramadan Values

Obi urged Nigerians to continue embracing the values associated with Ramadan, including compassion, self-discipline, empathy, and generosity.

According to him, the virtues observed during the fasting period should guide citizens’ actions even after the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.

Encouraging Unity and Peace

The former Anambra State governor also emphasised the importance of unity and peaceful coexistence in Nigeria’s diverse society.

He noted that sustaining the spirit of sacrifice and kindness demonstrated during Ramadan could help strengthen social harmony and promote national development.

Obi congratulated Muslims across the country for their devotion and prayers throughout the holy month and wished them a peaceful and joyful Eid celebration.

He also called on Nigerians of all faiths to work together in building a more united and prosperous country.
