The Police Service Commission (PSC) has dismissed four police officers and imposed disciplinary sanctions on 31 others over various cases of professional misconduct.
The disciplinary actions were taken as part of the commission’s ongoing efforts to strengthen accountability, enforce discipline, and uphold ethical standards within the Nigeria Police Force. According to the PSC, the affected officers were found to have violated established rules of conduct after the commission reviewed their cases.
While four officers were dismissed from the force, the remaining 31 received various sanctions in line with the severity of their offences. The commission did not disclose the specific nature of each case or the individual penalties imposed on the sanctioned officers.
The PSC reiterated its commitment to promoting professionalism, integrity, and public confidence in policing by ensuring that officers who breach service regulations are held accountable for their actions.
The commission also emphasized that disciplinary oversight remains a key part of its mandate and pledged to continue monitoring the conduct of police personnel to ensure compliance with the highest standards of service and accountability.
