Belgian winger Leandro Trossard has completed a permanent transfer from Arsenal to Turkish Süper Lig club Beşiktaş, bringing an end to his three-and-a-half-year spell with the Premier League champions. The deal is worth an initial £15.3 million, with a further £1.7 million in potential add-ons.

The 31-year-old has signed a three-year contract with Beşiktaş, with the option of a further year. The Turkish club officially unveiled Trossard after he completed his medical and signed the agreement in Istanbul.

Trossard joined Arsenal from Brighton & Hove Albion in January 2023 and went on to make 174 appearances, scoring 36 goals and providing 34 assists in all competitions. During his time in north London, he helped the Gunners win the Premier League title and established himself as one of the squad’s most reliable attacking players.

His departure is part of Arsenal’s squad restructuring ahead of the new season, with the club already moving to strengthen its attacking options following his exit. Reports indicate Arsenal are close to signing Greek winger Christos Tzolis as a replacement.

For Beşiktaş, the signing represents another statement of intent as the Turkish giants continue to reinforce their squad. The experienced Belgium international is expected to add creativity, versatility, and proven quality to the club’s attacking unit as they prepare for the upcoming campaign.
