The Delta State Police Command has arrested several suspects after they were allegedly found in possession of cocaine and firearms during a routine stop-and-search operation conducted in the state.

According to the police, the operation forms part of ongoing efforts to combat crime, illegal drug trafficking, and the proliferation of unlawful firearms across Delta State. Officers reportedly recovered suspected cocaine and weapons from the suspects during the security exercise.

The arrested individuals have been taken into police custody, while investigations are underway to determine the source of the seized drugs and firearms, as well as any possible links to criminal networks operating within the state.

The Police Command said it has intensified surveillance, patrols, and stop-and-search operations at strategic locations to prevent the movement of illicit drugs, illegal weapons, and other items associated with criminal activities.
